I was taking my car apart to look for a leak and i found on the passenger side near the floor in the lower pillar area there was this metal box behind the plastic. Apparently when it rains the water leaks all over it and i'm worried its the ecu. This probably isnt too good so does anyone know what this is?

That is exactly what that metal box is.
