P0118 Fault Code Issues

I have a 2002 Passat that has a P0118 code and that CEL on all the time. Replaced the old coolant temp sensor with the new green one & cleared the memory. Light came back on after about 60 miles of driving and has the same P0118 code. Does anyone out there have experience with this code or problems associated with ??
