Anyone Clean The EGR Passages Before?

Just curious as I have a 98 Cavalier that's throwing an EGR code but the EGR solenoid was replaced only a year ago.

I would like to try cleaning the EGR passages, but from what I've read, it's not a DIY type job.

Anyone ever tried it before?
