1994 - Buick Lesabre - Suspension Question

I drive a '94 - Lesabre with 230,000 miles (highway miles). When I approach and turn into a right-hand interstate off ramp I feel a shift in the chassis that the best way I can describe it - would be the car shifting from a stiff suspension to soft. It feels like the front driver's side shock gives and the car leans excessively for a split second. My initial reaction is to turn the wheel harder to the right to correct the additional shift of the car inertia. Frankly speaking it scares the heck out of me. I tend to notice this at 40+ mph and about 1/3 of the way into the off ramp, however, if I slow the car down to 30 mph or less the "shift" is unnoticeable. My thoughts are either frozen shock or broken front coil spring - I'm planning to crawl under the car to have a look this weekend. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Look at the rear control arms and joints also.

Update: I had a front ball joint out on the driver's side. Thanks!
