GreyGoose006 03-15-2008, 12:14 PM sounds like you have it all figured out. gas gage dosent work or the tempature gage but speedomiter works GreyGoose006 03-15-2008, 12:21 PM fine fine fine fine... I'll be helpful. your gas guage is probably fine and so is the temp guage. first: look under the rear bumper. there should be a harness going to the gas tank. connected to that is a wire that gives the info to the guage. look for a disocnnected wire somewhere. for the temp guage, i believe the sensor is in the radiator. look for a disconnected wire. the problem could also be your fuses. check ALL your fuses for dead ones. a dead fuse has a brown burt spot on it. make sure you put them all back. Johncrow 03-20-2008, 05:57 PM sorry to piggy back on someone elses post but my gas guage on my 94 also doesnt work ( its stuck on full). When I turn the car off the needle goes down slowly to about half, you think it could be a vacuum problem? PeteA216 03-20-2008, 10:36 PM The guage doesn't work off of vacuum, it works off of voltage from a potentiometer style sending unit connected to a float inside the tank. Check the connection to the sending unit and to the ground. That will proably require dropping the tank. Don't worry, its easy assuming its not that full and you have a jack. Also check for brken wires, corroded connections, and swolen wires. A swolen wire indicates corrosion under the insulation and it may have corroded to the point of no longer carrying a current. Similar to how paint bubbles when rust forms underneith it. Swolen wires is uncommon, but I have seen it happen before. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
