The engine stales infreqently, it back fires through the intake. I found two codes p0102 and p0300. Help

Welcome to AF.

The first DTC of P0102 is a MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor issue, MAF Sensor Circuit Low Input. The PCM module has detected the MAF signal is below the low frequency threshold of 1200 Hz. The random misfire DTC of P0300 is probably related to the MAF issue. Unplug the MAF sensor electrical connector and see if driveability returns. If it does then you'll most likely need a new MAF sensor.

See this post below for location of the MAF sensor for a Series II 3800 engine assuming you are referring to the '97 Park Avenue listed in your profile.

This is a 97 buick park ave if that makes a differnce. I unhooked the MAF senser and drove the vehicale, it seemed to run a little better. Intermitently it still backfires through the intake, but doesn't seem to be as bad.

I took the MAF sensor out and cleaned it whith throttle body cleaner and cleared the codes. When driving it was still cutting out and backfiring through the intake, a 300 code came up. Do you have any more sugestions

If driveability improved any or no stalling then your MAF sensor is still suspect and if the P0102 DTC is no longer present. Also, the MAF sensor wire element should not be cleaned with any harsh chemicals or cleaners like regular throttle body cleaner. Use electrical contact or MAF spray cleaner only. The P0300 can be caused by fuel supply issue or secondary ignition - spark plugs and/or ignition wires. How old are the plugs and wires?

The plug and wires are three years old.

Assuming you have an odb-ii scanner any history DTCs indicating a specific cylinder? Or does it have freeze frame capability? Plugs and wires are the best starting point. To set the P0300 DTC the misfire rate and/or crank variation is high enough to possibly overheat the CAT convertor. Other possibilities are fuel pressure out of spec, EGR valve, PCV system, vacuum leaks, ignition coil pack.
