Dash lights flashing, stalls and brakes coming on by themselves

I have a 97 LeSabre that is acting strange. During normal driving the dash lights start flashing, the engine stalls and it feels and sounds like the brakes start pulsating. Sometimes only the ABS and Traction Control Off light come on and the brakes pulsate without the engine stall. About half the time it seems to start when the brakes are applied. Other times it happens while accelerating or at a steady speed. The episode will last a couple of seconds and then the cars seems to run fine. This has been going on for a few weeks and is getting more frequent. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a few episodes of the power locks acting up.
they just locked and unlocked when they felt like it.

As to breaks it is a prob with your cruise control.

Have you cleaned & tightened the battery terminals?

You nailed it Hotz28. It was the negative terminal on the battery. I would have never guessed it was the battery with the all the different symptoms the car was having. I actually put the meter on the terminals and was reading 12.56 volts. When I removed the negative cable, it was covered with corrosion. Cleaned it up and the car is running great again. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the feedback & glad to here you found the problem! Yeah, with all the electrical accessories on these cars, when you have several problems appear at once, you have to go to the main source of power first. BTW, do you have side post terminals?
