I have a 2003 Grand Am with a V6 and am having problems while installing a new intake manifold gasket. Apparently whoever installed the nut on the fuel inlet pipe that attaches to the bottom of the pressure regulator over torqued it and now it will not come loose. While trying to take it off I destroyed the pressure regulator and will now have to replace that. The question I have is how can I replace the fuel inlet piping so I can attach the fuel piping to the pressure regulator? Is there a splice fairly close down the line that I can just replace that section of line? Can I cut the fuel line and then just splice a new section in using rubber hose and hose clamps?

Let me know if anyone has any ideas or has gone through this before.

I dont think thiers a splice real close to that, should be under the driverside where thiers a connetor.
I would NOT recommend rubber hose and clamps.
That wont work due to the high pressure of the fuel, and its pretty damgerous too.
