What The Hell?!!?!?!?

Okay this sunfire i got 2 months ago, I put a brand new clutch in just over a month ago, today it is slipping, and when I sit, put the e brake on, put it in ANY gear and let out the cluthc, car doesnt even stall. Clutch is fucked. A brand new clutch gone in a month? that isnt normal, what the hell happened, Im really pissed off about this, it cost me $900. And its already fucked.

Bring it back to whoever did the work. I've got 172K miles on my original Saturn clutch. :)

I can tell you that the shop is going to assume you've been beating it up. I know I would. Hopefully everything works out ok for you.

you said you put a new clutch on, did YOU? or did you have someone do it? either way, it was obviously not installed correctly

I didnt do it, a mechanic did it I wil lcall him today, guaranteed he will tell me he wont replace it.

Did you break it in properly? With knowing your driving habits, i will only assume no. I don't mean to sound like an asshole with this, but you need to break it in for 600-800 miles with a lot of city drive, stop and go. No revs above 4,000. and vary your loads. NO FLOORING IT FROM LIGHT TO LIGHT... ;)

Also could be your throw out bearing malfunctioning. And is it a spec clutch?

I never knew about breaking it in. No one ever told me, I went over 4000 sometimes......did a few burnouts.....but that wouldnt cause it to burnout already. And no idea if it is a "spec" clutch, dont knwo what that is, Im used to automatic and frankly im going to stay automatic, no bullshit like this.

and this morning i tried starting it, now it wont even start, it goes wuh..........wuhhh....................wuhhhh...... .........tkkktktktktktkkt. I just replaced the altenator and battery and its still fucking up, Im getting sick of J bodies, every single one I have BREAKS. BTW the Z24 will be fixed this month. then i think the sunfire can lick my nuts because Ima sell the piece of shit

Auto's have a 500 mile avg. break in period as well :dunno:

You probably glazed the flywheel.

I took it to the guy who put it in, he said clutch is done. 4 weeks and a brand new clutch is toast. Wow. Listed the stupid thing for sale. Find something better that wont break as easy.

Learn how to drive better my friend. Thats all i can tell you, or buy the parts which can take the liken you dish at them.

If you want to play, you gotta pay. Just drive like a normal person. You'd be better off having a seperate track car to beat up on the weekends.

Well the clutch should have lasted longer then that regardless. These J Bodies....lemons they are. 4 Motors in my Z24, on my 2nd Tranny in it too (Automatic) and then this Sunfire, Clutch in a month.

WOW! thats all i have to say, i wish i could see how you drive cuz i have never heard of any one else with as many problems as you have.

i think the Shiftplus ruined the auto tranny in my z24, and i barely used it.

i'm onto owning 3 j-bodys now. IN the 6 years of owning the sedan, biggest issue i had was a leaky valve cover gasket, intermediate steering shaft and it was all under warranty.

wow. my cavi has 135k miles on it and i've never really had anything major, minus the fuel pump (if you'd even consider that major. my transmission and engine are fine. it shifts like crap and is slower than piss. other than that it's great :P
