Lower hose into the radiator area. It is a PITA to change out. While you're in there change out the lower hose and be sure to use the right anti-freeze.

The thermostat is located to the left of the oil filter. It is a pian. I tie a string to the thermostat and pull it through the water neck, pull it tight and tape the string to the neck. this will hold the thermostat in place untill you get the bolts started.
