Does this seem like a good price for a WS6?FireFox05 03-07-2008, 08:56 AM Okay, so it may not be a real WS6. But he is asking $5k over Blue Book, I wonder what he has done to the car? I'm thinking about getting this car to have as a fun weekend car until my RWD Prix is done. goldz28 03-07-2008, 09:04 AM I would ask for recipes on the work he has had done. I can tell he has a aftermarket lid. I cant even see the duel tips so it must dump before the diff. It also has 105k on it. If he has a built motor and can prove it and you feel the car is worth 15k. then go for it, it's a nice looking ride. FireFox05 03-07-2008, 09:19 AM Thanks goldZ, I'm calling him at lunch to have a chat. Really wish I could tell if he has headers or not, but I just can't tell, I'm not familier enough with the LS1 engine bay to know every part I'm looking at. What about the intake Mani, are they that glossy from the factory? I always thought they had a matte finish. goldz28 03-07-2008, 09:42 AM If he has a built motor and true duels I would assume he has headers. But you know what they say when you assume...lol FireFox05 03-07-2008, 09:51 AM Hah, yeah I do know. I'll post what I find out when I talk to him. Any specific, soul-searching questions I should ply him with? FireFox05 03-07-2008, 11:38 AM Bump, thoughts on what I should ask? FireFox05 03-07-2008, 01:12 PM Well crap, he sold it. I'm just having bad luck with fbodys right now. Final price it went for was 13,500, plus 700 to ship it south to MS. I'll keep hunting and post up another one when I find it. wrightz28 03-07-2008, 01:29 PM I would go the route you were and find a wrecked donor for a fraction of the price. :2cents: FireFox05 03-07-2008, 01:31 PM LINK2 (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=238892893&dealer_id=62023511&car_year=2000&num_records=25&model=TRANSAM&make3=&systime=&make2=PONT&start_year=1998&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&fuel=&body_code=0&search_type=both&distance=200&marketZipError=false&model2=FORMFBIRD&search_lang=&first_record=26&make=PONT&color=&keywords_display=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=44505&advanced=y&end_year=2002&pager.offset=25&transmission=&doors=&max_price=20000&cardist=200) Heres another. What do you think, real Firehawk? The rear bumper looks funny to me. As far as the donor car, I'm still looking. But the plan for the RWD swap has been set back at least 6 months, and I'm impatient and want my RWD SOON. cuda_dude 03-09-2008, 10:19 PM A guy I know has a black fake ws6 6speed for sale right now... with like 70k on it and he's asking 10K... so that might give you an idea on a decent price.
