Is the high pressure line on the power steering on a 98 STS a tough one to change? Mine is leaking a bit, the new one should be here by Mon or Tues.
I can handle myself quite well doing mechanical work. Does any one have imput on this?

Thank you!

Well, I replaced the pressure line for the power steering on our 1998 STS... once again I am thorougly disappointed with American/GM engineering (We have 5 GM vehicles) The deliberate efforts made to see how difficult they can make it to replace a given part is beyond reasonable. I had read tips on replacing this hose prior to doing the work. A person should not have to mess with unbolting engine mounts and jacking the engine around ( I did not) just to replace a power steering line. There is a 10mm bolt on the front (belt end) of the engine that secures a clip that secures the hose in place... this little bolt is set directly parallel to the frame rail and no room to get at it...especially to put it back in, that example is just the tip of the iceberg on replacing this hose, it shouldn't have to be that way. I love the car but GM vehicles (and others) are full of examples where it must have been Friday and nearly quitting time when they made decisions on how to build their vehicles.
