92 F150 302 automatic. Truck won't start, the starter clicks which tells me the gear is getting shifted over to the flywheel but it will not turn the motor. I have replaced the starter with a new one and still does the same thing. The old starer I hooked up to a jump pack and it engages and spins just fine. Have tried to jump the truck with both a jump pack and another vehicle and still only clicks. Also thought maybe the motor is locked up. But I was able to turn the crank pulley easily. Need help please!

Is it possible your battery connections are corroded? this is an easy check. My 97's cables always seem to get badly corroded.

I have cleaned all connections at battery, at starter, and at solenoid next to battery.

Also should mention, it did this the other day and I jumped the solenoid next to the battery with a screwdriver and it started so I replaced it with a new one and has started fine for the past couple days. When I try to jump the solenoid now it just makes the starter click just the same as when I try to start normally.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!! My truck still has the factory battery cable that splits 2 ways from the battery post clamp. One cable goes down to the starter solenoid on the starter, the other goes to the solenoid on my fender. I checked voltage at the fender solenoid and had 12v. I checked voltage at the starter solenoid and had 9v and it dropped to .3v when trying to start. I cut off the cable going down to the starter and replaced it with a new one, which I bolted with the short cable at the fender solenoid. Also replaced the small wire that runs from the other terminal on the fender solenoid down to the starter solenoid just to be safe. After everything was hooked up I gave it a shot. Started right up. Ya!
