I've been playing it for the last few weeks now... mostly why I haven't been on here as much... Just wanted to see if any of you boys (and gals) played...

With the help of a person I met while playing, we developed a tactic that... if folks listened and actually did it is nearly fool proof.

I encourage you kiddies to try it if you play.

Basic idea is... Put your squad leader in a transport helicopter. Have him fly and hover at around 500-600ft (400ft is a minimum). Which in the game is stupidly high, and you can't see the ground at that altitude. Plus side is, you can still see your capture points and the enemy can't see you when looking up. You need to use the map/hud to navigate since there are no visual reference points at that altitude.

Then, have your squad members spawn into the chopper and jump out and "Halo" jump into the base you're trying to take. If you time it right, you can open your chute just before the ground so you don't float in and get shot at.

If you die, you just respawn back in the chopper and repeat. If you do it right, it's a great tactic. Especially if you've got a full 6-man squad, so you always have 5 combat soldiers and 1 pilot.

Only problem is, the squad leader must maintain altitude, and try to evade any Fighters/Attack helicopters that might get wise to his location. But, most players never fly that high. Especially in helicopters because it takes so long.

... Just a random thought. Plus I'd like the idea to spread around so I don't have to try and explain it in game. It's too hard to try to type and fly...

Look for me out there... > BrotherBriggs

I'll be the one 500ft up.

Sorry dude, don't play Battlefield in particular.

I'm more of a Halo 3 player. That's my bread and butter. Hrm....this kinda sparks a thread idea.

Hmm.. like, how big of a dork are we really?

Ok, I'll go first.

I think it's perfectly fine to want to masturbate while you watch the loading bar scroll across the screen between games.

There. Beat that smarty pants.

Seriously though... it's not a big deal. Just don't do it at a LAN party. Makes for awkward times. :uhoh:

Right now i'm on Call of Duty 4

never been a big battlefield guy, although it is cool as hell, my brother in law used to play.

The scrolling bar thing though, i just take snapshots and save them later, or in my spank bank, dont wanna ruin the controller.

haha, main thing ive been playin is devil may cry 4. picked up a ps3 since the 360 finally died after being used like 5 hours a day for 3 years. the gran turismo demo is keeping me occupied, but it doesnt quite feel the same as forza. its more...understeer happy for me. turned off all the assists, and cant seem to get the r2 just right to keep traction in the corners, when in forza i could easily do it.

maybe a way to convert the 360 controller to work on ps3. that would be rather sweet. one heck of an electronics job though.

I don't really do the online thing, but I used to play Battlefield 2 for hours on end...I was a decent sniper, and people hate that shit.

As of late, my obsession has been split between Ace Combat 6 and COD4. I'm waiting to pick up that Army of Two, it looks pretty nifty. That, and Splinter Cell.

I used to play BF2 night and day (I was the master of the skies with an attack chopper), but I've moved on to other games to waste my time for me. I've been playing Call of Duty for the last 3 months or so and that's a lot of fun, although it has some serious network issues and some poor coding problems. I've also been playing a lot of Medieval: Total War 2.
