Blank spot in overhead console silveradofirerescu 02-28-2008, 06:57 PM
Has anyone found a use for the blank spot in the front of the overhead console above the rearview mirror? I have been thinking of putting something in there but I cannot decide what... I have a 2002 1500 ext cab. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks! 72chevelleOhio 02-29-2008, 04:05 AM I have an '02 Z71, I would kinda like to know what went (or was supposed to) be there in the first place.....even the sales guy at the chevy dealership I bought it from couldn't tell me. bigbadram51 02-29-2008, 12:57 PM That overhead console is the same in the Tahoe/Yukon, and Burbans... Rear A/C and fan controller goes there 72chevelleOhio 02-29-2008, 01:54 PM That overhead console is the same in the Tahoe/Yukon, and Burbans... Has anyone come up with something creative to put there? I was thinking of mounting a remote head for a fire dept. radio there... just seems like a good place for something. FrankB43015 03-01-2008, 12:09 PM I mounted my Sirius Starmate satellite radio. I looks awesome there.:smokin: Sonny01 03-04-2008, 07:41 AM Like this: http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/thumbs/27065P4200027.JPG chuck16 03-04-2008, 11:06 AM That's where my Cel Phone and my Son's glasses go. In the LT version of the 2002 this is where the little display goes to display temp and direction. I thought it was where the DIC went; but was corrected in a prior post years ago. I store my sunglasses in there. My cell flys out when I hit speedbumps. '97ventureowner 03-05-2008, 12:41 AM .....even the sales guy at the chevy dealership I bought it from couldn't tell me. Half those sales guys couldn't tell you the time of day:lol:. When out looking at vehicles at dealers it amazes me how little many of the salespeople know about the product they are selling. Many times I ended up knowing more about the vehicle and the salesperson learned from me,( because I do all my research before entering a dealers' lot.) I think the dealership should make the time and require all of their sales people to learn about the vehicles they sell, especially the basic info. 72chevelleOhio 03-05-2008, 06:13 AM When out looking at vehicles at dealers it amazes me how little many of the salespeople know about the product they are selling. I use to think they knew more about the paperwork side of the deal, but I have talked with a few that could even screw that up. jtc001 03-05-2008, 10:47 AM Has anyone tired to put in a trans temp gage?
