Sounds like your battery light. Check your connections, at the battery first. Then make sure your alternator is charging. Last time mine came on, my alternator was on its way out the door.

Battery light is red. Usually yellows are "not that bad", and red is "needs attention. Then why is the CEL yellow? ;)

It sounds like either low coolant. Could also be low windshield washer fluid, but probably the first one. Check all fluids.

yep u are right my o.f bottle was empty:screwy: filled er up and light went off. found out im burping coolent out of it on a hard run. my radiator cap has the red pull tab and just bot it, but the damn thing is hissing a little bit i can hear ,so i guess im not getting a good seal causing the overflow.
love my dsm but if its not 1 thing its another.:banghead:

Its not supposed to create a vacuum. It should have a way of breathing, yours doesn't? You replaced your bottle cap, don't know how that will affect your car.

my overflow has a overflow tube, but the rad. cap shouldnt be losing air, that should be under pressure right? the rad. cap is what i hear hissing a little not the o.f bottle thats bubbling over.

You might want to compression check you motor. Your coolant shouldn't be pressurized to the point that water will boil over unless your car is over heating. At least that is the idea unless you do indeed have a faulty cap.

There is a possibility that if you have a blown head gasket you can pressurize your coolant with your engine's compression which will lead to forcing water into your overflow and then out of the car.

I know this first hand so you might want to get it checked before you get to far away from home.

Sounds good to me.

did compression test it was 155 across the board. i no 164 is new and 121psi is service.only dumping coolant when running it hard for a few pulls threw all gears. i can drive to work normal and race a few people and not lose any coolent.people were saying head gasket about a month back when having same problem, but wasnt that my thermostate gasket was leaking and stopped the problem.now gaskets good but doing it again.like i said i can boost high for a while, pull over and no leaking, then run hard again thinking im all good and pull over and lose about a half cup of coolant.i guess pressure testing the cooling system is next.

Drain and flush the system. Also, replace that damn radiator cap. If it's hissing, that's bad. Replace with stock OEM and see what happens there. Fix the small cheap thing first. I bet that's causing issues. Should be completely quiet from the cap.
