Hard starting the car. It rough until it warms up then runs fine. Have replace d the fuel pump, the timing chain, the fuel filter, cranshaft sensor, and computer.

You need to hook it up to a scanner & check the engine temperature while the engine is cold. It should read close to ambient temp.

If the temp is not reading correctly, (higher temp than ambient) the ECM will not allow “cold start enrichment”. This acts the same as a choke in older carbureted cars. The coolant temp sensor (CTS) could be at fault here.

I had the same problem with my 95 olds and after changing a few expensive parts my friend scanned it and found the temperature outside to be 11 deg. and the ecm to be 65deg.after checking connections he found the wire terminal at the ecm to be corroded, after cleaning it the two temps were the same and the car started right up,I hope you dont have to find out the hard way like I did, good luck.
