I have a 96 3.1 and the seatbelt light will not go off. Worked just fine now all of a sudden it will not go off when I buckle up. Any ideas?

WD-40 comes to mind...always the first line of attack for stuff like this. Seatbelt buckles are crud traps...try pointing the buckles downward and tapping on them, sometimes stuff falls out that was interfering...

I've been looking at that light for 10 years....I don't use the belts...:)

Strongly agree w/this theory. At least you don't have the pinger or buzzer with it (I hope).

Yeah I had a 2000 Impala that would chime every couple of minutes and flash the light....drove me crazy.
