Have you talked to Ken at PG? I was looking over there in the RX-8 section, and most of the stuff looks a good bit cheaper than what most suppliers/vendors are charging.

In other news, I gots a date with a dyno next Saturday, that means this Saturday is only slightly less packed than originally planned. Meeting with a financial advisor at 10, then racing across the metroplex to get to the one exhaust shop out of about thirty that I've talked to that is going to be "cool" with what I want to do (South Africans who don't care about US Federal Law are awesome), then trying to figure how I want to install and actually installing my boost gauge and AFR, then the new BOV if I decide to order it tonight, and then off to a quick dinner and the meet, which is supposed to be getting filmed. Fun stuff.

oh the stuff im getting isnt going to be too much, i'm just waiting for the suppliers response, the most expensive parts are the shocks and spring (mazdaspeed 70% stiffer than stock and best performance ones out of any that are available, and im not comparing to coilovers thats a different story) the Shocks and springs are gonna cost around 350 so its a huge savings but again im waiting for the guy to respond to my posts.

Understandable. I like PG for the simple fact that they don't charge shipping on anything, they have everything in stock, and it can be anywhere from $10 to almost $100 cheaper than anywhere else.

you also forget i have the two biggest rotary tuners in my backyard, mazsport and Pettitracing. so if i was going to buy something from them i wouldnt get charged shipping since i would go pick it up from them and also get dyno runes to compare the differences for each mod.

Bought all the parts again: new turbo, fmic, injectors, dp, fpr, fuel pump, all the fixens. Then I traded it for a truck and a 4 wheeler, and just gave them the parts for the truck.

Had it all to do what I want, but just never did it. Kinda dumb when I think about it...

In our mostly Mazda3 club, all of us Speed3ers make fun of the regular 3ers for lack of a turbo. They really don't have anything to come back at us, though. They just kinda say yeah, your right.

I know what you mean. I had all this shit sitting in my closet that I was gonna put on the BMW. Then I was like...fuck it, I'm just gonna get a faster car. I ended up giving half the shit away because the E46 325i doesn't exactly have a massive demand for aftermarket parts. Now I'm like...I shoulda sold all of it so I can buy more go fast bits.

Threads don't get ruined if you can roll with the jokes around here. Most of us have been a pretty knit tight group here and have all came to understand each others sense of humor.

Most threads that go out of hand, are usually because one guy doesn't know when people are joking and retaliates in all seriousness. You know people enough on these boards, so you should know. It was a joke, so just roll with it...

Now all this talking about our vehicles makes me wish I had the Eclipse back for some racing. Haven't raced in over a year and a half. But, something else will replace that yearning for the Eclipse. :iceslolan

dooooo eeeetttt! i know you want to sooo bad. how about put the money into coins. im dead serious. i do that now so i dont spend it with the card or anything. put it into roll of quarters, and get a safe or something, and put the quarters in there. its not like when you want 10 bucks you are going to get the roll, then go to the bank to get a 10 dollar bill to look cool when you spend it. its too much work.

speaking of which, im trying so hard not to spend any cash right now, as i wanna make a run for panama city in like 2 1/2 weeks for spring break.

I'm actually looking at picking up a lightly used stock turbo, and just having it ported+bigger wheel. I could probably swing all of that for under five hundred with some good connections. The one thing keeping me from spending to much money is the fact that I am absolutely NOT going to screw with the boost or turbo settings till there is a dedicated tuning solution available. Its that simple. Everyone is saying this 3071 is a directo bolt. I don't care, 15 pounds of boost through a 3071 is a bit different than through a K04.

On the other hand, I am picking up a new noise maker today, and good chance I'll be going out the strip tonight. First time down the 1/4, wahoo! I'm looking for low 14s, high 13s on nothing more than dumb luck and pure will power, lol.

Bit of an update...test pipe and down pipe wont be shipping till April, just picked up the new Synapse BOV tonight, installing in the AM, and tomorrow evening, I should have the new high flow fuel pump installed for a massive massive massive discount. Wa hoo.
