Hood RemovalTheessence 02-24-2008, 01:30 PM I might have the opportunity to swap hoods with someone who has a GA with the ram air sc/t hood. I would have to drive almost 2 hours each way to do it but I would be able to save a lot of money this way. My question is, how hard would it be to swap the hoods on the spot? Are any special tools involved or is it just a couple of bolts and then pull it off? I'm looking through the repair manual but I don't see anything about it. GTP Dad 02-24-2008, 04:46 PM Simple hand tools will serve to remove the hood. Take a marker with you and mark the position of the hinges when you remove each hood. When you replace the hood line the marks up with the hinge plates and replace the bolts. This will allow you to easily align the hood. Just don't slam it until you have it properly adjusted. Theessence 02-24-2008, 05:08 PM Ok it took me awhile but I did end up finding it in the manual. Doesn't look too bad. It figures though, the guy changed his mind about trading hoods:runaround: Anyone have one for sale?
