Hey, does anyone know if the new GT package you can get on teh 2002 proteges gives the same kind of HP boost that the old early 90's ones did? because my cousins got a 91 Prtege GT and it's just roughly about 165-170 HP and with teh backseats and things taken out weighs only about 1900lbs. What about the new ones? are they quick?

The New GT packages are entirely cosmetic, it adds power moonroof, rear deck spoiler and 16 inch alloys

well i got all that except the moon roof but its not called a GT "damn" basiclly i have a 2003 pro5 and yes it has good power but not enough. but as for me i don't race. cause not enough land on this island to race. thats the junkest part of living in hawaii..

gt version is really useless, jsut get a mazdaspeed protege, 175 hp, turbo, but the power figures are underestimated because if you look at the times it is a damn fast car, and it has a decent sound system
