Looking for easy answers.....

96 CV non police W eng. Im autocrossing this yr. with this car and wanted to know basic HP upgrades without spending a crapload... already got KN air filter... Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!!!!:grinyes:

Crapload of money is a vague term. I have been tooling around on my own crown vic for some time to make more power. Nothing is cheap when it comes to making power. There are expensive ways, and not so expensive ways to make power with the 4.6.

I only have experience with the PI heads and intake. I believe you have the non-PI heads and intake.

I have had good success with underdrive pulleys. Worth about 10 rearwheel hp, and are easy to instal as long as you have a crank pulley puller tool.

The best way for you to increase performance would be to lighten the vehical as much as you can without sacrificing safety. I have never done autocross racing, but I am familiar with drag racing.

My best advice that you can do for free would be to remove the rear seats, spare tire, passenger front seat, floor carpeting, and anything else you can think of to lighten the car without spending money.
