I want to change sway bars on my 2000 lesabre to a stiffer bar. Gmparts direct lists swaybars for the bonneville and the lesabre together. the prices are all different and the stiff lesabre looks like the same as the soft bonneville and the stiff bonneville is a different price altogether. Does anyone know of a site that will give part numbers as well as discription like gmparts direct does. usually the parts people at the dealerships arent very helpful.

Look for a low mileage JY Bonneville SSEi, Olds LSS or LeSabre with "Firm Ride & Handling" F41 or FE2 suspension. You would have to look at the RPO codes, they are on the spare tire cover and the best code is F41. If you could find one equipped with either of the codes, that would be the cheapest way to go. Both the F41 and FE2 use the 32mm front sway bar and the 21mm rear sway bar. Just changing the front stabilizer bar would not be of much benefit.

The springs, struts, end links, stabilizer bar & bushings, all go together to compliment one another. In addition, the same applies to the rear components with FE2 & F41. That is why the suspension components are commonly referred to as; “tuned suspension” package. :icon16:
