Anyone know the average time of a stock GP GXP in the 1/4 mile? I've seen on a site that it says 14.3 but I'm sure it has to be faster than that... anyone know? Some guy in my neighborhood has a Bonneville GXP and I wanna give him a run but I want to have somewhat of an idea of what I'm up against. (Still want to know GP 1/4 mile, not Bonneville thought).

that guess is probably about right. the GXP has the same motor as my Impala SS (5.3 Litre) rated at 303 HP. the only difference is that the GXP has the Stability control.

yes, the 5.3 is a beast of a motor, but it also has alot of restrictions on it...its also FWD, which makes you lose alot of power to the ground...

I'd say your safe against the Bonny though

this guy (http://www.dragtimes.com/Pontiac-Grand-Prix-Timeslip-6161.html) says he ran a 1/4 at 14.011 @ 99.270 MPH w/ a stock '05 GXP

so i guess right around the 14 second mark is about right

Yeah that 14.0 seems more true considering a stock GTP runs mid-somewhat high 14s stock. Thanks for that info.
