1999 '88 blower fan problem

The blower fan starting having intermitten problems running. Now, no air blows at all. Checked the 2 wires at the blower with the ignition and fan switch (all speed locations on switch) and only .25 volts. Where is the blower control module located on the year model? You could give the dash a bump with your hand and it would come on, now the dash bump doesn't help. What else can I check to pinpoint the bad part? The fan didn't make any bad noise, so I'm kinda thinking it's not the fan itself. Thanks in advance.

Lookfor the blower relay resistor unit on the blower case, under dash. Check the connections on the fan switch also, looked for burnt wires.

Do you have the auto climate control (digital display)?

Unplugged and jumped the fan straight to 12v, fan runs good. Checked the switch connections they all looked good. After looking at the wiring schematic, looks like it's probably that relay unit or the resistor unit, if they are separate. My work hours limit time to spend in the evenings troubleshooting. It's going to the shop this morning to get r done. I'll post back after it's fixed on what the problem was so it can help someone else out. Thanks

It's working now. Talked to the shop service advisor, I didn't get a chance to talk to the mechanic. He said on the incoming power supply lead in the dash, there was a branch off lead to the relay (I think) that had a bad connection. The only way they found it was by twisting and moving the harness around. The wire wasn't burnt or anything (a good thing). He did mention something about a soldered connection being bad. There is a ton of wiring under those dashes. Hope this helps someone someday.

I'm running into a similar problem, but it is intermittent in my case. Your clues will certainly be into my checklist. Thanks
