Electric window problem

2000 LeSabre, Drivers window quit working. Is there a relay switch on the window motor. Working the window button on the door causes a clicking sound in the door, but the motor doesn't work. 331,000 miles so I'm not interested in spending a fortune to get the window working, but if I can find an easy fix it would be nice.

More than likely, you will need a new Window Regulator like the one shown below.

Most likely the regulator motor is at fault, but I believe the 2000 models were among those with a body control module and individual door power modules, so that is also a possibility. Either way, the inner door panels gets to come off and you get to meter the motor power to be certain which it is.

If this is off topic please move. A Buick with over 300,000 miles. Besides the electric window problem how has this Lesabre held up in general. Have you been satisfied with the car? Thanks for your input.

Sorry it took me this long to reply. I couldn't be more satisfied. I drive around 50,000 miles per year and this LeSabre has 339,000 on it now. It looks great and for the most part has been maintenance free. I did replace the transmission at 125,000, but aside from that wheel bearings have been the only issue I've had. It still has the original fuel pump, water pump, and serpentine belt. Im disappointed that Buick doesn't produce the LeSabre now, I'd buy another one as soon as this one croaks.

I am disappointed also. My 2000 has been terrific, has 200,000 miles and all I have replaced are plugs, wires, and one front bearing. I have heard the 2000 had window problems, but not mine, and they have been up and down more than a hookers drawers. Gave it to my wife, and bought a Buick Lucerne, which replaced the LeSabre/Park Avenue. What a piece of junk!
It has been back to the dealer so many times, it has its own service bay. It is so bad, GM even extended the warranty for me, but I am going trade it in before I beat it with a stick.:banghead:
