Hi

I thought, i may post my current project here, too. First summary of what I've done so far:

I have the old version of the kit without etch parts, but I got some replacement decals from indycals (white instead of the grey originals ;) ). I started with the main parts of the engine and the front. I did some detailing with different cables there.

Finished the front suspension then, twice as difficult as normal suspensions
I like the springs Tamiya used for the brake ventilation.

I added many wires to the cockpit, as it will be clearly visible in the finished model due to the removable front cowling.

Engine and gearbox put together, and some wiring:

Then I did the rear suspension and exhaust.

Then I started airbrushing the first body parts, I used Aquacolor Blue 52 mixed with a bit of white, then Mr. Hobby Clearcoat.

Today I married chassis and engine and added more wiring. The rollbar was painted with Tamiya Paintmarker, the oiltank(?) airbrushed with Aqua Color silver, wasn't sure which one is best, but both work

That is a really, REALLY, nice build you are progressing with there. The bodywork looks especially excellent.

I have this one lined up the be built in future, it's great to see your WIP so I can see what to expect. You are really making a fantastic model here.

Wish I could get my 1/12 scale Yardley McLaren M23 finished, although need to get some "Denny Hulme" decals printed for it.

Will be following this thread carefully! nice work!

This weekend it was time for painting the body and putting on the decals. Indycal decals are very thin, so one has to be careful, but the colours are much better than the original. Clear is still missing, will be done this evening.

So, it's finished

There were no belts in the kit, but in the 312T4 i built were normal and etched belt parts, and as i used the normal parts there I had a set of etched belts to use here.

Then i mounted the radiators and the rear wing.

Finally finished, now I need good weather for some gallery pictures.
