I'm trying to find out what transmissions will interchange with my 95 4x4 4l60e? Do I have to find a 95 or will others work? Will s-10 pickups work in the blazer? Thanks.

There is only a year or two span along them years.

Thanks for the info. How hard is it to change out the planitary gear in this tranny? This is comming from someone who hasn't worked with auto trannys much at all. I can take one out and replace it, but I've never rebuilt one.

1995 is a one year only trans. I found that out when I did mine

Thanks 83cutlass. I was afraid this was the case. I've found that 95 to 97 have a 13 pin plug and a 94 has a 12 pin, but I found if you order a rebuilt one the 95 has it's own separate part number and it is a little bit higher than the rest. I just wonder if you can convert them to make them work?

I researched that up and down also. And as far as I can tell, there is no way to convert. The 95 electronics/valvebody are a little different and that valve body won't work on a '94 trans or a '96 and up trans due to the small differences.
