Water Pump replacementdw200 02-15-2008, 05:44 PM Looking for an opinion or 2 here from those of you whom have done the procedure. Some people want to say that the water pump/ timing belt replacement process is an absolute PITA and others say it is not a real big deal. other than removing the steering pump bracket it does not seem that bad. It is in my garage now with everything but the crank pulley, the motor mount, and the steering pump bracket already loose or removed and the rest will be done tommorrow. Tools are not an issue. What do you think???? Thanks in advance It is the 2.5 motor. 2000izusu 02-15-2008, 08:12 PM if you have the 2.5 i believe it is a mitsubishi v-6 (which by the way is de-bored and de-stroked 3.0L mitsubishi found in all sorts of chryslers.) below is the link, to complete timing belt and water pump change in a 3.0L. your 2.5 is very similiar. mike Link: http://www.emprepcourse.com/mitsubishi/index.html vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
