My Beretta weighed 2,700 the last time I was on a scale.

You may want to go to a scrap yard, quarry, or any other place that has a scale and ask nicely if they'll weigh your car for you.

I have a '98 G/A with the 2.4l and I like it, but wouldn't spend money to make it faster. Someday I'd like to find one in perfect condition and put two 2.4l engines in it, the second one in the back.... really fast, AWD, and if you blow the engine you can still get home. You could try that and let me know how it goes. Might save me a headache if you find a reason not to do it :)

Car should weigh in around 2500 lbs give or take a bit. The quad motor is quite peppy, especially with a manual transmission. My 95 gt stock would break the tires hard enough in 3rd to get the front of the car a little squirrelly, and after a few mods would smoke them in 3rd if the conditions were favorable. There is a huge potential for the quad, the only problem is the head. They do tend to crack, and the head gaskets are prone to failure on some of them as well.

They do weigh about 2400-2500 lbs, a 2 door is about 2200-2300 lbs for this model.
