I am obviously looking for a MR2 that will perform. Are there certain years or models that are somewhat setup to be tuned? Or certain years/models that have certain parts ie. 3S-GTE motor which everyone seems to be in love with....or is there better engines that come stock with the MR2?

Im not sure if this is gonna be worded right but here it goes. Does the hardtop create stability/stiffness in the body? if so what does it effect besides the body's durability?

First gens handle better. And if you get a supercharged mk1 and replace the blower and intake with a n/a intake and turbo charge it. 300 hp is pretty easy to make. I have one if your interested
