Please let me know if you get it figured out.:uhoh: mitchkev 06-27-2008, 10:34 PM I am having the same problems with my 97 It feels like it is down shifting between 55 & 60 mph, and yes the speedometer quit working for a while but is know working again but it slips in and out of gear. heidithomsen 06-28-2008, 01:03 AM It's the transmission speed sensor - gotta love these fords and all their electrical problems!!! Good Luck! wafrederick 06-28-2008, 09:30 AM If it is inside the transmission, transmission shops will not rebuild this transmission and I know why.Ford is "picky" on this transmission, the ground wires have to be in the right spot or the drum inside which is made out of plastic will melt. This transmission is a big POS! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
