2003 Expedition 5.4L

Last night on my way home my car started acting up. It was when i would accelerate it would steadly hesitate almost like misfiring and also the service engine light would flash then go off. I thought maybe bad gas so i topped off with 93 octane and also poured in STP Gas cleaner to help with any water in the gas. Now today same issue and this time the service light stays on. What do you think?

My guess would be a cylinder misfire. Some major parts houses will read the codes for free. If the codes are like P0301--P0308, that is cylinder misfires and needs tuned up.

Thanks, I bought it with 82k and now has 87k so I should probably tune up just in case...Does AutoZone run checks for free?

I believe they are one of the ones that do. I know they will down here.
