I'd suggest purchasing a manual, just to many things to list.

no my auto trans has a BAD slip.... so i bought a 3k mile trans out of a 98 cutlass 3.1 wreck.....

No, I meant a shop manual. :lol:

Plus you need some way to lift the car up high enough, to drop the trans out the bottom.

if you have never done one, couble be a day could be two :dunno: you skill level. But it can be done in a day, drop and reinstall if you're experianced.

Thier are a few plates that mount the engine to the trans, then pull the axles, drop the sub frame and youre halfway thier. severl wire harness that unplug, trans lines to radiator etc etc.

I am currently doing a tranny replacement on a 2002 grand am. they're pretty much the same. I bought a haynes manual for assistance. If you have any particular questions, let me know and I could try to help. Ive done a tranny swap in a honda del sol in the past too. The hardest part always in my opinion is getting the axle nuts off and the drive shaft out of the hub without messing up the alignment.
