Blend door problem??

I just purchased a 1996 Olds 88 with only 42,000 miles!!! The only problem with it is that the heat/ac will only come out of the defrost and foot vents. when you turn the control to put it on the vents or just defrost nothing happens. It sounds as if there is a blend door problem to me. Does this sound right?? I was wondering just how involved this job would be on this vehicle. Thanks in advance!:grinyes:

Not yet, haven't had a chance to dig into it and it isnt that big of a deal, I still have heat. There doesn't seem to be much action on this board.

Since I didnt get any help on this problem i will post my results incase others have the same problem in the future. I finally got around to fixing this...wasnt a big deal to meal still had heat and a/c. I had a vacuum leam under the plastic cover to the maxifuses under the hood. 5 minute job.
