1989 LeSabre No Headlight

Lot of miles but in generally good shape. The headlights just stopped working. The running lights, brake lights and turn signals all work. Checked the interior fuse panel but did not see any slot for headlamps. All other fused items seem to be working fine.

When turning the car off, if the headlight switch is left in the "on" position...the warning chime is activated.

Pulling the turn shift lever backward to manually switch from high beam to low beam...the little blue headlamp DOES NOT show in the dashboard.

Does this interior headlights rocker switch (split black for high and low beams) become defective due to usage/age frequently?

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Checked under the hood for loose connections and fittings. Found nothing out of place.

I decided to try the Headlamp rocker switch. After looking at it with the front panel removed, nothing seemed out of order...no electrical burn marks or smells.

I retrieved a good used Headlamp rocker switch from the local salvage/junk yard.
Quick removal and re-install for the test while at the yard. Yes, the used switch works.

Super Bowl day, somewhat cool and scattered light rain showers and some remaining snow on the ground. It was worth it.

Hope this helps someone else with their Headlamp issue(s).
