What does this Code mean for my Car? P0700 trans control sys malfunction?

I have a 2002 Chrysler 300. The check engine light is on. I get up to about 40 mph and it sort of stalls.....the code I got for the car is P0700 Trans Control Sys Malfunction. What exactly does that mean? I don't want to have to go way out of pocket if I don't have to get this fixed!:nono: Please help!

You can't get beyond about 40 mph, right? Yr is probably in "limp" mode and only goes in second gear. Does your speedo work? If not, then your output sensor has gone bad. If it does work, then your input sensor has died. These are easy to replace yourself.
