Who will win the rally of Turkey 2003?Marco_Wrc 02-23-2003, 06:12 AM Rally of Turkey 2003 26 February / 2 March http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/124978tukey.jpg Official site (http://www.rally-of-turkey.org) Entry list (http://www.fia.com/presse/Ral-a/2003/21-02-2003-b.pdf) 102KB (PDF) not a real entry list, but a preview. I couldn't find a better one. Who will win it? k_dog 02-24-2003, 01:49 AM as much as I love McRae, I think undoubtedly Groenholm will tak it with the way he's driving this year. Guido 02-24-2003, 08:00 AM Sebastien Loeb in the Citroen. He did well on gravel last year and his late charge in Sweden shows that the Xsara should be up to the job, not only on asphalt ales 02-24-2003, 12:09 PM Gronholm :o Xerxes 02-24-2003, 06:08 PM doesn't the logo from the rally of turky look kinda like the dakar logo...as in the plate....anyways..Gronholm should win, unless somebody has something up their sleves Marco_Wrc 02-25-2003, 10:32 AM Source: www.worldrallynews.info (http://www.worldrallynews.info/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1046187444,50825,) Colin McRae doubts that the Xsara will be the pacesetter on the Rally of Turkey, but isn’t ruling out a strong result from his first loose-surface event with Citroen. The Scot is concerned that rough conditions won’t suit the French machine and that his limited knowledge of the car will add to the handicap, but he also believes that it could be an open contest. “I’m not overly confident, but in a way, the rougher the conditions, it can suit you, if you use your experience. I’m looking forward to it. I think we can achieve something pretty good,” he said. There goes my winner :( O well, we'll see what happens. Luckily no one knows before hand who's going to win. ales 02-25-2003, 04:37 PM Interestingly, in the similar poll on wrc.com Mcrae is leading, and Markko is in second in front of Gronholm :flash: freakray 02-26-2003, 11:11 AM I keep hoping to see Richard win a rally, but I think it will be a Gronholm domination again. Apparently Loeb tested on this rally last season(before it was a WRC event) and didn't do too well.... Guido 02-26-2003, 03:39 PM Originally posted by freakray Apparently Loeb tested on this rally last season(before it was a WRC event) and didn't do too well.... He should have learned from his mistakes now, have good notes and win it  Marco_Wrc 02-27-2003, 06:56 AM source: email from ford ...the Ford team are confident that the Focus will perform well and get good results. Amid many 'firsts', the rally also marks a 'last' for Ford Rallye Sport. The Rally of Turkey will be the final event for the team's frontline drivers in the current Focus RS World Rally Car. In New Zealand the 2003 Focus RS WRC will make it's debut. I allmost forgot about the 2003 focus. Looking forward to see it racing down the tracks. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/386046diapo_003.jpg ales 02-27-2003, 07:23 AM I know it's of not much importance, but Markko's leading in the wrc.com poll  :silly2: Guido 02-27-2003, 09:42 AM Originally posted by ales I know it's of not much importance, but Markko's leading in the wrc.com poll  :silly2: You must have hit that button like 100 times :flipa: ales 02-27-2003, 04:26 PM Originally posted by huudo You must have hit that button like 100 times :flipa: Me????
