First time in a forum so thanks in advance for anyone who can help.
I am hearing a clicking noise from the front left tire both in reverse & drive.
I pushed the car in neutral to se if it would click and it did not.
It appears to happen when I am driving straight ahead.
It stops should I turn the steering wheel left or right.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Welcome to AF .

Sounds like a bearings going bad on that side.
But it could also be the CV joint.

Might have it inspected to varify the troubles.

Another question: I'm being told by mechanics that I'm looking at replacing a hub assembly (hub bearing?) and getting quotes from 325-550, does this sound like the correct price range? I looked online to buy a hub assembly for my car & it was appx 100
Any help would be appreciated

325 is probably close. $100 is low for the hub, make sure you get a quality part, or you'll be replacing it again. Timken hubs are $130, our discounted price, I'm not sure what you could expect to pay for just one. It takes a couple hours to replace, so the labor rate will affect a lot.

I wouldnt buy anything unless it was Timken , they seem to be the best and last longer.
That price is about right on labor and parts for your area out west.

Just ask, who ever does the job, if they are using american parts, the chinese hubs are crap and wont last more then a year.
