to remove the front head am i going to have to remove the engine? I know to replace the timing chain you do... but can i work around this to get the front (left) head off?

There are a couple of places that have made quite a business out of welding the cams in the car. They probably know what it takes to get the heads off. You may want to check with those places, as well as review articles on the V8SHO.com site that I suggested in your previous post.

yeah but heres the thing

i did a cylinder leakage test on the front head and found all 8 intake valves are bent 95% leakage in every cylinder...

so time for a different head, which would be cheaper than fixing this one. I can't find just the cam except at one dealership for 458.00 and valves are 10 bucks a piece... so... i can find a head for 300 complete.

You can find a cam failed motor and use the good head off of it.
You have major problems and the V8 is not an easy motor to work on.

You could very easily have pistons with holes in them too.

www.shoforum.com (http://www.shoforum.com) may be a better bet than v8sho.com
