Exhast Header?

i am looking into getting a 1989 f150(I6 4.9L(Straight six)) and the exhast has a hole in it. I want to MAYBE put dual exhaust on it and im wodering if the header is all 6 cylinders on one or 3 for two pipes? other wise im going to do fake dual.

you are best off to do a fake dual. from what i can see on the 4.9l inline 6 the exhaust tapers into one pipe which then goes to your catalytic converter and then to your muffler. you dont want to replace anything behind the cat unless you have to. if you did and they came in with the strict emmissions laws that the feds are working on now you may be wishing that you didnt.
