Can anybody tell me what this is and what to do to fix it.:frown: DTC P1623 Transmission Temp Pull-Up Resistor auto or manual? Start off by changing the Engine Coolant Temperture Sensor. its about 17.50 at the dealer. getomr 01-29-2008, 05:04 PM Automatic RC1488 01-29-2008, 05:31 PM Automatic then definetly change the ECTS getomr 01-29-2008, 05:54 PM Thanks for your help, can you give a quick explanation why the temp sensor. RC1488 01-29-2008, 06:30 PM Thanks for your help, can you give a quick explanation why the temp sensor. ECTS is made of resin. coolant eats through the resin and sends false signals to the PCM. the newer one is brass tipped and will last the lifetime of the car. the ECTS is VITAL to fuel management, shift points, engine heating, TC lockup, etc. however 9/10 it will NOT through a code specific to itself. all pre 2001 came with the resin tipped sensor and are the causes of many problems. change it out asap vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
