I bought a 2001 Ford Windstar Sport SE and it has one of those number pads on the outside of the door so you can punch in your code and unlock your car. Well, I don't know the code, but is there a way to reprogram it myself? I looked through the manual and saw stuff about reprograming the keyless entry key ring but nothing on the keypad at all.

Thanks

Not a 2001, but this might help:

Try looking under the drivers side dash, there should be a black box there with the numbers on the side that tell the code. If I remember right the box is positioned on the inside firewall up higher than the fusebox level. You may want a flashlight and a mirror handy.

Will it say "Keyless Entry Code" or will it just look like a serial number type thing that is on the box? I looked up behind my gas and brake pedals and up under the dash and found a few box type things with a serial number sticker thing on them, but I didn't have a flashlight and wasn't able to read the numbers.
