I used a company called Japan Auto Direct in Tokyo. They were very helpful and the guy that helped me was a NATIVE English speaker. They had a website, www.japanautodirect.com (http://www.japanautodirect.com) were I found my Slyline R32 GT-R. Once I picked out my car, I used PayPal to purchase, and they had it on a boat a couple days later. I waited about a month, then picked my car up from the port in Vancouver. I have been putting in tons of new goodies with the money I saved. Couldn't be happier wiht the service that I got form these guys. I suggest giving these guys a look if you are considering looking to import a car. Regards, Keith Z432 06-13-2008, 05:36 PM Too bad that it is all but impossible to import newer Japanese domestic market cars into the USA. If it is less than 25 years it must be on the official NHTSA list of approved cars. It also must meet the USA regulations. As of recent (due to rule change), the only GT-R that can be imported into the USA is certain years of R33. Even then, I do not believe that the R33 had OBD2, but maybe there is a way around that, but I very mush doubt it. mmcleo11 06-14-2008, 08:54 AM The R32/R33/R34 Skylines had a standard Nissan Consult 14 pin plug. JDM JAPAN 06-16-2008, 04:58 AM Hello, I used to be an importer in Canada importing a variety of vehicles into Canada. I had very high standards for the cars I was importing and criteria that most exporters in Japan could not meet. I have since moved to Osaka, Japan since the end of March 2008. I have continued my business as an EXPORTER. Know the Canadian market and the quality of vehicles that people are expecting, I can offer vehicles that will exceed their expectations. My company JDM IMPORTS JAPAN is ready to help you find your dream JDM car. I'm originally from New Westminster, B.C.. We purchase from auction and then we service all of our vehicles at our shop where they are completey tuned up and detailed before being exported. Most japanese exporters will purchase from auction and directly export your vehicle. This is a very risky practice and you will have happy customers and unhappy customers. We take that risk away for the importer by checking and servicing all our vehicles.
