MFH 1:20 Ferrari 126 CK Monaco 1981

This is a Model Factory Hiro gem. The "new version" 126 CK. A superb kit. Ultra-detailed, but still room for (minor) improvements. Major problem was the "chrome" paint job. My first attempt with Alclad was not a success. Problem is the paint will not totally harden and this makes it very difficult to handle those big parts. Instead I used Finished Chrome and this was a much better solution for this project.

That looks awesome! I really like the chrome which turned out great. The engine looks very well detailed.

Looks like you really enjoy building these MFH kits, thanks for sharing!!

Superb stuff, and you put it togheter clean and crispy, and very detailed.

The only thing I'll see replaced are those folded tubes between the valvle covers and the fuel tank: may be a rod would make the work better.

Congrats, can't wait to see it dressed. 126C2 is my preferred F1 ever, Ck is a bit less cool with those strange square cover over the engine's area, but ever a terrific F1 :)

Just an internal Danish joke from my best friend Flemming.
It means: “This is OK considering he is a beginner”. I guess Flemming is a little bit upset just because I have now almost finished 4 MFH full-kits. His MFH full-detail score = 0. :evillol: :banghead:
By the way – I am VERY close to finish the 126 CK, but the bodywork always takes time. I will try to come up with some pictures (sooner or later). SUPERB kit!!

Finally some progress (and a new Canon camera).:grinyes:
Only rear wing (nightmare to paint) is not finished.:frown:

Very very good, it is strange that decals on front wing show decal carrier, is that alclad under them?
Fantastic detail work on the engine and all around.

Some of the pictures are actually cheating. The decal film is not very obvious in real life. I have used Finisher chrome. It dries up ultra hard. :) Alclad was tried but I do not like Alclad for big parts. Too "fragile".:frown:
Also the first picture is "strange" - the paint job looks much, much better when you see the model. Problem is non-professional photo environment. :banghead:
