My Co-Worker has an 1994 Grand Am SE That continues to overheat no matter what we do. We've already changed the Thermastat, Flushed the coolant, Tightened down the Radiator cap, And can't figure out what's going on. We're hoping that it's not a leak into the engine. Any suggestions?:banghead:

Thank you so much for the help. I'll take any suggestions.:grinyes:

Welcome to AF!!

The first thing to do is check the oil to see if there is coolant in the oil. If not then there may be several reasons but the first thing that comes to mind is a blocked radiator. Have it back flushed and see if that helps. The second item is a bad water pump. This will cause low coolant flow and the engine will overheat. Third make sure the hoses are in good shape. A collapsed hose will cause an overheading condition. Fourth, check to make sure the fans are coming on when they are supposed to. Fan failure can cause overheating. Finally, you didn't say what size engine or if you are losing coolant. If you have coolant loss it is possible that you have a blown head gasket that is causing the problem.
