I have a 98 cvpi with an all plastic manifold that has a crack in the front leaking coolant. I did the research and found this is a common problem with the all plastic manifolds. I have purchased the new manifold with the aluminum cross over in the front. Now here are my questions. What should I replace while I'm in there. What should I be carefull not to do. And I also have a misfire in cyl 6 does any one know the cyl order on my model. I'm pretty sure it is a bad coil. So I will replace it while I have it out. Please help. Thanx in advance.

Look closely at the heater hose under the intake that comes off the back of the water pump. If you have the intake off, I might invest in a new one. The cylinders are numbered from front to back, 5 is drivers side and 1 is passenger side.
5------1
6------2
7------3
8------4

Thanx for the help. If the computer is giving me the engine code for a missfire in cyl 6 is there any thing else I should check before I change the coil.

Most of the time it is either plug or coil or thr boot may be arcing through to the head. I have omly had 1 injector cause an engine miss on all the CV's we have serviced. Good luck

Is there anything I should be extra carefull with. Like any parts that are known for easy breaking. I gotta make sure this job goes as smooth and cheap as possible. Thanx again.

The only thing we have a lot of problems with are the injector and coil connectors breaking. Also, check with your Ford dealer. It is possible you can get it fixed for free. If you don't mind sending me your VIN, I can run it through Ford and see if your intake is under warranty. May be a free repair for you.
