I saw a drop top accord on an old issue of impot 2nr..
I thought it would be nice if I can do that with my 00' civic ex..
Any idea how much it would be? and have anyone done it before?

no idea on cost or anything but i saw a fifthe gen coupe that the owner made into a drop top. that shit looked PHAT! but im sure its very expensive and probably not worth it unless you got bank.

its actually unsafe to do that... to make a drop top, ure gonna most likey cut the frame making it structurally weaker... maybe u can make a T-top instead of a drop top... i think u can do that without cuttin the frame.. that'd b unique... a T-top civic

Well that is why companies put in extra bracing, to comensate for the lost rigidity of the vehicle.

But its not worth the money, your looking at probably $10k or possibly even more to do that. So lets see, your car is worth what like $8000-$9000 depending on who you find to buy it. $10k... thats 18-19k A 2000 BMW Z3 has a value around there. If your goal would be getting chicks, im pretty sure you would get more chicks with the BMW then with the drop top civic... because afterall, no matter what you do to the car, and the end of the day its still just a civic. :smoka:

Isnt it funny how we the civic owners realize that a civic is JUST a civic, its not the fastest, not the most beautifull car for the money... and yet we devote so much resources into our civics... Its a disease :)
