Low Coolant Lightvocky 01-18-2008, 09:47 AM Hello all, I have a 2001 venture, I did a intake gasket job on it about a year ago. Never had to many problems with it since. Just recently my low coolant light has been coming on. It seems to only come on when it is cold outside, and after the engine warms up the light goes off. The resevoir tank is where it should be, and when I took the radiator cap off to check the level the coolant poured out of it until i put it back on. The thermostat is fine. It never overheats. Just kinda wondering what you think the problem is, and if I should be concerned about anything. Thanks in advance rockwood84 01-20-2008, 07:08 PM the low coolant sensor is located 3" below the radiator cap it could be bad or have a loose connector. pastaben 02-10-2008, 08:10 PM Hi, Did you figure out what happened that caused the Low Coolant light? I have the same problem now with my 99 Venture. Thanks. rockwood84 02-11-2008, 05:32 AM if the radiator is full and the low coolant sensor is saying the coolant is low then the sensor is bad or it has some gunk on the end so it only reads when the temp is warm. its 3" below the radiator fill bahawk750 03-09-2008, 02:10 PM I was having same problem, bought new 16lb radiator cap.
