Damn I know jay, I want that CD. I keep going to my record store and they say try back next week, or two weeks, and they never have it. I'll get it at some point. I guess I should try to find it if I head down to NYC this weekend.

Metallica - Fuel. Simply the best song to race to. And a shitload of those old metal bands, even Metallica. They had such a nice fast thrash beat to them, he'll's yeah. Plus, it pisses off the people that listen to that rap-crap, and my one goal in this world is to piss of rappers.

Metal kicks a**, i listen to trance, rap an reggae too while driving. As for metal tho, Rammstein is the band. My fav song to race to is "Asche zu Asche", DL that an try driving to that. "Weisses Fleisch", "Rein Raus", and the well known "Du Hast" are also good racing songs. Im also remixing some of their other stuff to race to.

Seeing how it is that many have selected techno, it makes me want to point out that "techno" itself is a seperate genre in its own class within electronic music, apart from the others such as acid and melodic trance. And trance is what most of you have picked with the artists/djs named above. Do any of you really listen to the pulsating monotony of techno?

Also, house, hardcore, and drum 'n bass, and perhaps even happy hardcore should've been listed, but I guess we will just call everything "techno".

Yeah, I think I know what type of electronica you are referring to. Real techno and trance don't have words, except for acoustic effects.

Some popular broadbased selections include the Ministry of Sound Annual releases, the Tranceport line (I especially liked Dave Ralph's mix), and if you can filter out some of the crap, most of the Global Underground sets (especially the NYGU with Oakie). Oh, and the almighty PvD, as well.

Gotta agree that a lot of people look at you kind of funny when you play electronic music really loud in the car (except dnb, and some breakbeats or ragga). Maybe it's not so overseas.
